Former I.O.I's member, Kim Sohye, has been dealing with haters even since she debuted with the group. Last year, Sohye and her former agency RedLine Entertainment announced they would take legal actions to people spreading hateful comments and rumors that damage Sohye's reputation as an idol.

Back in August 2016, Sohye's new agency S&P Entertainment released an official warning on its website to warn everyone who has been leaving hateful comments against the idol. Allkpop reported that S&P Entertainment found somebody that had been suspected. As it turned out, the suspect spreading hateful comments was a student so the agency decided to take into consideration. However, S&P Entertainment made it clear that it would take a strong stance to combat malicious commenters through a legal action.

Kim Sohye's agency stated that haters spreading malicious comments have put its artist's reputation into jeopardy. The irresponsible action had also resulted in the agency's inconvenience to precede entertainment activities. Thus, Kim Sohye and S&P Entertainment think it's needed to take the offense into a legal action.

On March 13, S&P Entertainment has given an update regarding the legal actions that RedLine Entertainment filed to defend its former artist. According to Soompi, S&P Entertainment has issued an official statement about the recent complaints it filed on September. The agency on behalf of Kim Sohye filed complaints against 11 people who had spread rumors and hateful comments damaging Sohye's reputation. It is reported that the police has found the suspects and the case have been forwarded to the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office.

Sohye's agency promised to keep fans updated once the suspects have been sentenced. The agency also emphasized that it will continue to take a strong stance to beat false news, rumors and malicious commenters. Sohye and S&P Entertainment urge fans to keep reporting those that still maintain to spread false news even there has been a significant warning from the agency to take a legal action against haters.
